“New developments in genetics, anthropology and neurobiology predict that a very large number of genes underlie our intellectual and emotional abilities, making these abilities genetically surprisingly fragile,” he writes in part one of his research. “Analysis of human mutation rates and the number of genes required for human intellectual and emotional fitness indicates that we are almost certainly losing these abilities,” he adds in his latest report.”

Então o cientista considera que existem 5.000 genes que são a base da inteligencia humana. Preciso ler seu paper, ~Our Fragille Intellect”, para saber como ele chegou a essa conclusão. Não deve ser fácil detectar genes com funções afetando algo meio abstrato, como é a inteligencia. Tanto é que nos comentarios ha leitores que não acreditam que inteligencia é determinada pela genética. E o cientista diz que detectou uma quantidade de mutações nestes genes que tem forcado o homem moderno a ser menos capaz, menos brilhante, que seus ancestrais. As causas seriam duas: 1) As mutações deletérias nos genes são inevitaveis (porque?); 2) Modernos avanços tecnologicos. Acho este argumento valido porque temos o popular exemplo de como a maquina de somar substitui a mente no exercicio da matematica. Genetica, antropologia e neurologia tem predito que um grande numero de genes subjazem nossas habilidades intelectuais e emocionais, tornando estas habilidades geneticamente frágeis. Ultimas analises revelam com quase certeza que estamos perdendo estas habilidades.

A verdadeira definição de “inteligencia natural” sempre vai ser diferente da definição de inteligencia feita pelo ser humano. Simplesmente porque nos somos esse objeto, nos somos uma especie de inteligencia e quem esta dentro não pode saber a verdade da totalidade. Por exemplo, uma inteligência ideal tem que compreender duas coisas fundamentais: como funciona a evolução ( para que se adapte e siga seu ritmo), e como e porque a Natureza constrói suas arquiteturas naturais ( para que apliquemos o mesmo modelo na construção da arquitetura meio-ambiental em que vivemos). Ora, a evolução se aprende pelo antigo método cientifico mais natural que existe – a anatomia comparada. Pega-se a forma da arquitetura que foi construída a bilhões de anos atras e compara-se com a forma da arquitetura construída agora. Isto vai clarear como evolui cada detalhe, cada processo da arquitetura. Foi o que fizemos para obter o modelo da Matrix/DNA. Quanto as arquiteturas naturais, o primeiro fator a se notar é que toda arquitetura natural é um sistema, não uma parte, uma peça, um objeto isolado e fechado em si mesmo. Observando-se os sistemas naturais de átomos a galaxias a seres humanos, aprende-se quais as ideais conexões entre as partes e quais as funções das partes. Não diríamos o mesmo do tipo de inteligencia que apos sua investigação foi encontrar que o sistema celular foi criado por um sistema natural, ao constatar que a célula é exata reprodução do sistema astronômico.
Seres humanos são produtos da evolução/involução de sistemas naturais. Destacam-se dois principais dominando a formação humana nesta época: 1) A galaxia que criou esta biosfera, o DNA, os sistemas biológicos vivos; 2) A emergência da auto-consciência no cérebro humano indica que um novo embrião de sistema complexo esta sendo gestado no cérebro humano o que indica que deve existir um sistema natural desconhecido ainda que seja auto-consciente. Portanto o ser humano é palco de um conflito, na luta pela dominância entre ancestrais, um totalmente estupido mas com um corpo como maquina perfeita, que é a galaxia, e outro que seria a suprema inteligencia, mas com um corpo tao abstrato que no meio material é subjugado pela forca material. Portanto, o ancestral estupido se expressa dominante inscrito em nossa genética e inscrito no meio-ambiente que nos suporta. Com isso, existe a pressão dessa genética em se reproduzir aqui na superfície da Terra, modelando a inteira biosfera, em algo parecido com o ancestral estupido. Portanto, as coisas tendem a gerar aqui um sistema final mecanicista, automatizado, funcionando como um relógio, e todos os elementos que forem selecionados nesse processo de reprodução deveriam se encaixarem como pecas nesta engrenagem, sendo que apenas o sistema total possui uma identidade própria. E como elemento nessa engrenagem, o ser humano se encaixa como mera peça, mesmo que seja uma peca com destacada posição dentro do sistema. Como resultado final deste processo, teríamos aqui o Admirável Mundo Novo previsto na utopia de Aldous Huxley, um mundo fantasticamente tecnológico, automatizado, inclusive onde coisas animalescas como sexo seriam anuladas, sendo humanos gerados em provetas de laboratório. E o sistema total final funcionaria como as rainhas dos sistemas sociais de insetos, abelhas e formigas, cujos seres de fraco intelecto apenas foram guiados pelas leis reinantes nos átomos de seus corpos a titulo de intuição animal a montarem seus sistemas sociais funcionais. Portanto isto lembra a obra de George Orwell, onde a sociedade é dirigida e manipulada psicologicamente pelo Grande Irmão, considerando-se apenas que na realidade o processo natural levaria a Grande Mãe, porque a galaxia é dominada pelo aspecto feminino situado no seu núcleo.
Bem, esta é a tendencia natural desde que as forcas do passado universal continuem dominantes, mas a emergência da auto-consciência indica que alem do universo, antes do Big Bang, existe um sistema natural ainda maior e mais complexo, o qual estaria sendo reproduzido dentro deste universo como ovo cósmico o qual devera finalmente assumir a dominância final. Não esta claro que isso seria obrigatoriamente alcançado através de formas de vida como a humana, de cérebros como os humanos, nem que a Natureza teria recursos para manter esta evolução de uma forma linear, sem grandes interrupções. Portanto, não esta claro se a especie humana conseguira vencer a sua genética retrograda herdada da galaxia e ser hospedeira da genética alem-universo, ou se a humanidade se deixara dirigir por esta herança mais imediata tornando-se um beco sem saída da evolução rumo a sua extinção. A Matrix/DNA luta com todas suas forcas para que ocorra a primeira hipótese, quando vem a se revelar sua meia-face negra, que é sua face hardware, material, expressada pela galaxia. Pois seria o conhecimento humano desta Historia o desmascaramento da Matrix, e este conhecimento seria suficiente para que a especie humana desejasse e conseguisse sua auto-mutação no sentido do sistema mais cósmico, o que manteria livre a auto-consciência, e portanto livre o desenvolvimento da inteligencia natural.

But… this scientific reductionist method is driven us far away off the natural intelligence. Applying a different method of investigation of natural phenomenons – the ancient method of comparative anatomy among natural systems – in the Amazon jungle, my final results suggests that Our Science is reducing the should-be-natural development of consciousness. Intelligent and real knowledge is obtained by DNA, along its billions years of experience under evolution, plus the brain of these new sensory apparatus for perceiving distant time/space environments, plus consciousness that accounts with properties that only the right hemisphere have. I´m sorry but I don´t agree with the research. We have been growing our intellectual capacity generation after generation. Even during my lifetime the amount information I have learned in the past 15 years with the help of technology has given me knowledge of things that I would never had time or availability to reach in the 80´s and 90,s . 200 years ago I would probably be most focused on survival on a rural area, barley illustrated and with half of my life span to be able to accumulate experience.
Yours doubt is reasonable. I think that only in the future, when looking to this time now, we will know the state of our intellect just now. But… I am doing comparisons between the levels of real happiness of natives in Amazon jungle and modern humans at Sao paulo or New York. 95% of modern human race seems to me falling into a slavery way of life, everyday working without seeing the light from the Sun, while every morning the natives wake up and they see the world, they fells free, they can decide what they will do during the day. I know, their alternatives are few ones, but, I think that we don’t have alternatives. Maybe was better having half-life with quality than entire life as slave. Maybe the answers are a lot more complex than Mr. Gerald has grasped, like says the theory of Matrix/DNA, who points out till our non-biological ancestor – this galaxy – and effects coming from lightwaves vibrations, as causes affecting the curse of human intelligence.
Um jovem é uma forma do ciclo vital que é transcrito para produzir um funcional produto chamado “adulto”.
Estranha definição de jovens, não é? Aposto que nunca ninguém pensou nisso, desse jeito. Mas desafio alguem a apontar algum erro nessa definição, baseando-se em algum fato real. A esta maneira diferente de ver o mundo e os elementos naturais nos leva a nova cosmovisão da Matrix/DNA, muito centrada e dependente do processo do ciclo vital e das formas engendradas durante um ciclo vital dos elementos. Principalmente porque descobrimos que tudo o que é material e tudo o que move, funciona, se transforma, é devido a uma força que subjaz o inteiro Universo, denominada ondas de luz. E uma onda de luz é a formula universal de um ciclo vital.

Aprendendo esta nova definição de gene, minha mente fez o caminho habitual em todos estes tipos de casos: ” O que foi que existia antes de existirem genes que se tornou genes?”
Acho que os academicos não se fazem este tipo de pergunta, mais ou menos eles já tem uma resposta, bastante confusa. Dirão que tudo começou – estas coisas de memoria, reprodução, código genético, etc. – quando cristais crescem acumulando novos agregados e todos tendo a mesma forma, como se fossem fractais. Eu acho que a partir de cristais obter memorias, código genético, é um pulo gigantesco que minha mente não consegue acompanhar, ou seja, não aprecio esta ideia. Mas eu sou o unico individuo no mundo que conhece uma formula ( um milhão de pessoas que visitaram este website já a viram, porem com certeza logo a ignoraram porque não veem nela o que penso ver), que certamente sugere uma explicação diferente, aponta uma causa existente no mundo não-vivo antes das origens da Vida. Então com essa pergunta na cabeça – o que causou os genes? – corro a ver a formula. E como sempre… tchan … a resposta estava na cara! Bem, reconheço que apenas esta forma simples da formula fica difícil achar o criador para quem não a entende. Então vou puxar mais uma forma dessa mesma formula:

Bem acho que agora ficou mais fácil, não é? Basta ver ali a figura do jovem, a seta apontando para a figura de adulto e se lembrar da definição de gene. O pensador baseado na Matrix/DNA olha para a formula na forma de diagrama acima e procura ver o que é que se constitui num protótipo situado anteriormente a um produto. O protótipo não terá a mesma forma do produto, este sera mais complexo e sofisticado, pois o prototipo vivo não apenas se projeta diretamente para ser o produto ( isto seria mera replicação). Genes não produzem a si mesmos como produtos mas sim produzem proteínas. Esta certo que proteinas é – igual aos genes- um composto molecular de átomos – mas proteinas tem formas diferentes de genes e alguns tipos de atomos que genes não tem. A explicação se vê clara na passagem de jovem para adulto: o jovem se projeta para ser seu produto, um adulto, porem para fazer o adulto ele recolhe mais material do meio-ambiente (alimento, informação, etc.)… como o gene recolhe mais atomos para proteinas.
Então cada uma das figuras do diagrama possui o mecanismo que mais tarde seria aplicado aqui na terra e na matéria organica e que surtiria como resultado… os genes. A Função 2 produz ou se transforma na Função 3 ( nos humanos, um bebe-criança se torna um jovem, na galaxia primordial uma baby-star se torna um planeta, no DNA o gene H2P4 produz a proteina cetilcolase, etc. ), a Função 3 produz a Função 4 ( nos humanos o jovem produz o adulto, na galaxia primordial o planeta produz o pulsar, no DNA o gene GXT2 produz a proteina x), e assim por diante.
Devo confessar que enquanto meu conhecimento de genética foi limitado ao que aprendi na escola ( na época não havia laboratórios e não sei se agora os alunos podem ver genes reais em laboratorios) o nome “gene” era algo misterioso e indigesto, era apenas um conceito, do qual tentava formar uma imagem na cabeça, lembrando a figura do DNA tendo bem visível os atomos, as bases, as hastes. Mas como é que aquele mero amontoado de atomos podia fazer as coisas fantásticas que a escola diz fazer… isso nunca fiquei sabendo, nunca assimilei uma cena de genes produzindo proteinas. Agora ficou muito fácil. basta mencionarem a palavra ” gene” e já me lembro de um jovem preparado para se tornar um adulto, para produzir um adulto, para se projetar a um outro ponto no tempo e espaço de uma maneira um pouco diferente e mais complexa.
Bem, acho que apenas esta descoberta conceitual, filosófica, já tem alguma utilidade pratica, um melhor entendimento que fazem os genes e o conhecimento das causas de suas origens. Mas em relação a doenças, este novo entendimento pode ajudar em alguma coisa? Dizem que muitas doenças são causadas por mutação num gene que altera sua proteção da proteina. Quando, como e porque um jovem sadio se torna um adulto doente? Ou um jovem educado e torna uma adulto criminosos? Vou pensar nisso, é uma maneira nunca tentada de ver doenças.

A hidden and never before recognized layer of information in the genetic code has been uncovered by a team of scientists at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) thanks to a technique developed at UCSF called ribosome profiling, which enables the measurement of gene activity inside living cells – including the speed with which proteins are made.
By measuring the rate of protein production in bacteria, the team discovered that slight genetic alterations could have a dramatic effect. This was true even for seemingly insignificant genetic changes known as “silent mutations,” which swap out a single DNA letter without changing the ultimate gene product. To their surprise, the scientists found these changes can slow the protein production process to one-tenth of its normal speed or less
As described today in the journal Nature, the speed change is caused by information contained in what are known as redundant codons – small pieces of DNA that form part of the genetic code. They were called “redundant” because they were previously thought to contain duplicative rather than unique instructions.
This new discovery challenges half a century of fundamental assumptions in biology. It may also help speed up the industrial production of proteins, which is crucial for making biofuels and biological drugs used to treat many common diseases, ranging from diabetes to cancer.
“The genetic code has been thought to be redundant, but redundant codons are clearly not identical,” said Jonathan Weissman, PhD, a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator in the UCSF School of Medicine Department of Cellular andMolecular Pharmacology
“We didn’t understand much about the rules,” he added, but the new work suggests nature selects among redundant codons based on genetic speed as well as genetic meaning.
Similarly, a person texting a message to a friend might opt to type, “NP” instead of “No problem.” They both mean the same thing, but one is faster to thumb than the other.
How Ribosome Profiling Works
The work addresses an observation scientists have long made that the process protein synthesis, so essential to all living organisms on Earth, is not smooth and uniform, but rather proceeds in fits and starts. Some unknown mechanism seemed to control the speed with which proteins are made, but nobody knew what it was.
To find out, Weissman and UCSF postdoctoral researcher Gene-Wei Li, PhD, drew upon a broader past effort by Weissman and his colleagues to develop a novel laboratory technique called “ribosome profiling,” which allows scientists to examine universally which genes are active in a cell and how fast they are being translated into proteins.
Ribosome profiling takes account of gene activity by pilfering from a cell all the molecular machines known as ribosomes. Typical bacterial cells are filled with hundreds of thousands of these ribosomes, and human cells have even more. They play a key role in life by translating genetic messages into proteins. Isolating them and pulling out all their genetic material allows scientists to see what proteins a cell is making and where they are in the process.
Weissman and Li were able to use this technique to measure the rate of protein synthesis by looking statistically at all the genes being expressed in a bacterial cell.
They found that proteins made from genes containing particular sequences (referred to technically as Shine-Dalgarno sequences) were produced more slowly than identical proteins made from genes with different but redundant codons. They showed that they could introduce pauses into protein production by introducing such sequences into genes.
What the scientists hypothesize is that the pausing exists as part of a regulatory mechanism that ensures proper checks – so that cells don’t produce proteins at the wrong time or in the wrong abundance.
A Primer on DNA Codons
All life on earth relies on the storage of genetic information in DNA (or in the case of some viruses, RNA) and the expression of that DNA into proteins to build the components of cells and carry out all life’s genetic instructions.
Every living cell in every tissue inside every organism on Earth is constantly expressing genes and translating them into proteins-from our earliest to our dying days. A significant amount of the energy we burn fuels nothing more than this fundamental process.
The genetic code is basically a universal set of instructions for translating DNA into proteins. DNA genes are composed of four types of molecules, known as bases or nucleotides (often represented by the four letters A, G, T and C). But proteins are strings of 20 different types of amino acids.
To code for all 20 amino acids, the genetic code calls for genes to be expressed by reading groups of three letters of DNA at a time for every one amino acid in a protein. These triplets of DNA letters are called codons. But because there are 64 possible ways to arrange three bases of DNA together – and only 20 amino acids used by life – the number of codons exceeds the demand. So several of these 64 codons code for the same amino acid.
Scientists have known about this redundancy for 50 years, but in recent years, as more and more genomes from creatures as diverse as domestic dogs to wild rice have been decoded, scientists have come to appreciate that not all redundant codons are equal.
Many organisms have a clear preference for one type of codon over another, even though the end result is the same. This begged the question the new research answered: if redundant codons do the same thing, why would nature prefer one to the other?

Protein synthesis by ribosomes takes place on a linear substrate but at non-uniform speeds. Transient pausing of ribosomes can affect a variety of co-translational processes, including protein targeting and folding1. These pauses are influenced by the sequence of the messenger RNA2. Thus, redundancy in the genetic code allows the same protein to be translated at different rates. However, our knowledge of both the position and the mechanism of translational pausing in vivo is highly limited. Here we present a genome-wide analysis of translational pausing in bacteria by ribosome profiling—deep sequencing of ribosome-protected mRNA fragments3, 4, 5. This approach enables the high-resolution measurement of ribosome density profiles along most transcripts at unperturbed, endogenous expression levels. Unexpectedly, we found that codons decoded by rare transfer RNAs do not lead to slow translation under nutrient-rich conditions. Instead, Shine–Dalgarno-(SD)6-like features within coding sequences cause pervasive translational pausing. Using an orthogonal ribosome7, 8 possessing an altered anti-SD sequence, we show that pausing is due to hybridization between the mRNA and 16S ribosomal RNA of the translating ribosome. In protein-coding sequences, internal SD sequences are disfavoured, which leads to biased usage, avoiding codons and codon pairs that resemble canonical SD sites. Our results indicate that internal SD-like sequences are a major determinant of translation rates and a global driving force for the coding of bacterial genomes
The Shine-Dalgarno sequence (or Shine-Dalgarno box), proposed by Australian scientists John Shine (b.1946) and Lynn Dalgarno (b.1935),[1] is a ribosomal binding site in the mRNA, generally located 8 bases upstream of the start codon AUG. The Shine-Dalgarno sequence exists both in bacteria and archaea, being also present in some chloroplastic and mitochondial transcripts. The six-base consensus sequence is AGGAGG; in E. coli, for example, the sequence is AGGAGGU. This sequence helps recruit the ribosome to the mRNA to initiate protein synthesis by aligning it with the start codon. The complementary sequence (UCCUCC), is called the anti-Shine-Dalgarno sequence and is located at the 3′ end of the 16SrRNA in the ribosome. The eukaryotic equivalent of the Shine-Dalgarno sequence is called the Kozak sequence.
Mutations in the Shine-Dalgarno sequence can reduce translation. This reduction is due to a reduced mRNA-ribosome pairing efficiency, as evidenced by the fact that complementary mutations in the anti-Shine-Dalgarno sequence can restore translation.
The Shine-Dalgarno sequence GAGG dominates in bacteriophage T4 early genes, whereas the sequence GGAG is a target for the T4 endonuclease RegB that initiates the early mRNA degradation.[2]
When the Shine-Dalgarno sequence and anti-Shine-Dalgarno sequence pair, the translation initiation factorsIF2-GTP, IF1, IF3, as well as the initiator tRNA fMet-tRNA(fmet) are recruited to the ribosome.
The ribosomal S1 protein in Gram-negative bacteria [edit]
In Gram-negative bacteria, the presence of a Shine-Dalgarno sequence is not obligatory for the ribosome to locate the initiator codon. Numerous prokaryotic mRNAs don’t possess Shine-Dalgarno sequences at all: ribosomal protein S1, which binds to AU-rich sequences found in many prokaryotic mRNAs 15-30 nucleotides upstream of start-codon, can instigate translation initiation in the case of these mRNAs.
Although plastids are prokaryotic descendants and still have their prokaryotic translational machinery, SD-like sequences are not required at least in green alga Chlamydomonas reinhardtiichloroplasts according to a study.[3]
The Kozak consensus sequence, Kozak consensus or Kozak sequence, is a sequence which occurs on eukaryoticmRNA and has the consensus(gcc)gccRccAUGG. The Kozak consensus sequence plays a major role in the initiation of the translation process.[1] The sequence was named after the person who brought it to prominence, Marilyn Kozak.
The sequence is identified by the notation (gcc)gccRccAUGG, which summarizes data analysed by Kozak from a wide variety of sources (about 699 in all)[2] as follows:
a lower case letter denotes the most common base at a position where the base can nevertheless vary;

The rate of protein synthesis by the ribosome can be influenced by various intrinsic and extrinsic factors, such as structure in the messenger RNA and the actions of RNA binding proteins. As a result, translation is subject to transient pausing. This study provides a genome-wide view of the locations of ribosome pausing in bacteria. The most common origin of pausing is found to be hybridization between the ribosomal RNA and internal sequences of the mRNA that are similar to the Shine–Dalgarno element that serves as the entry point for the ribosome. To prevent their interference with translation, such Shine–Dalgarno-like elements are underrepresented in protein-coding sequences, accounting for some of the observed bias in codon usage. These results have implications both for our basic understanding of protein synthesis and for practical efforts to express recombinant proteins.

Scientists think RNA existed early in Earth’s history, providing a necessary intermediate platform between pre-biotic chemicals and DNA, its double-stranded, more-stable descendant.

However, though researchers have been able to show how RNA’s component molecules, called ribonucleotides, could assemble into RNA, their many attempts to synthesize these ribonucleotides have failed. No matter how they combined the ingredients — a sugar, a phosphate, and one of four different nitrogenous molecules, or nucleobases — ribonucleotides just wouldn’t form.

Essa poeira formava uma nuvem no espaço que girava rotacionalmente sobre seu próprio centro devido o movimento rotacional do todo em que se encontrava, talvez uma galáxia, ou talvez o próprio Universo. Isto criava um vórtice central e os fragmentos de LUCA, funcionando como genes, reconstruíam LUCA. Isto era auto-reciclagem dos sistemas perfeitos fechados em si mesmos. Assim LUCA, mesmo condenado a morrer pela forca degeneradora da entropia, se tornava quase-eterno. Mas o colapso interno destes genes, que começava pela periferia do sistema já na função 6, com a radiação estelar, fazia com que os primeiros genes decaidos ainda encontrassem em seu caminho na direção do centro, outros corpos existentes, na forma de planetas, e agregados a superfície destes, reiniciavam sua reprodução. Como agora a paisagem e condições ambientais eram diferentes do espaço vazio onde LUCA fora formado, houveram as mutações e ao invés dos genes reconstruírem o LUCA astronômico construíram o LUCA biológico, ou seja o sistema celular. Com essa evasão de genes a auto-reciclagem não mais funcionou e por fim LUCA pode ter morrido de fato. Os outros genes que vinham depois, ao inves de LUCA so tinham informações para construírem sistemas solares, faltando quasares, buracos negros, pulsares, cometas. O qual deve ser o caso dos sistemas solares modernos, como o nosso. Mas o elemento, a força que invisivelmente unia o LUCA morto com o novo LUCA vivo na auto-reciclagem, que era executada principalmente por cometas na função 5 , se tornou em biologia a base uracila, a única base intermitente no RNA que aparece e desaparece, como o cometa so aparece na fase de reprodução sexual do LUCA astronômico. Quando presente ela faz os ribonucleotideos, que são as unidades fundamentais de informação do RNA, e os pares horizontais de nucleotideos, que são as unidades fundamentais de informação do DNA, se multiplicarem, ou seja, ev o processo da auto-reciclagem mutado para multiplicação de nucleotídeos, o que faz a pilha deles, chamada RNA ou DNA, crescer. Mas como ligar um sistema fixo a outro sistema também fixo, quimicamente… A ponte de fosfato, que esta nas hastes. Esta ponte surge aplicando-se o mecanismo dos sistemas para criarem extensões em seus corpos, na forma de tentáculos, bracos e mãos, para agarrarem alimento ou transporte. Aqui o mecanismo foi usado no esforço do LUCA biológico de continuar sua auto-reciclagem, mutado para multiplicação linear, mas que de certa forma representa o mesmo processo de LUCA no ceur. aos grupos em diferentes lugares e épocas por isso reconstroem pedaços de LUCA, o que formam os aminoácidos e proteínas, e os componentes separados de ribonucleotideos e nucleotídeos. Porque não estava se formando os ribonucleotideos: porque em LUCA o corpo da função 1 (um quasar contendo o vórtice nuclear) liga-se num circuito esférico com a função 7 a direita e função 2 a esquerda. Quando LUCA astronômico se reproduz com a mutação para biológico, o circuito esférico continua, porem, ovalando-se e horizontalizando-se. E as ondas do tempo, que são as setas na formula, quando se horizontaliza, torna-se pontes de hidrogênio. São duas bases nitrogenadas a fase biologica

Sutherland’s team took a different approach in what Harvard molecular biologist Jack Szostak called a “synthetic tour de force” in an accompanying commentary in Nature.
“By changing the way we mix the ingredients together, we managed to make ribonucleotides,” said Sutherland. “The chemistry works very effectively from simple precursors, and the conditions required are not distinct from what one might imagine took place on the early Earth.”
Like other would-be nucleotide synthesizers, Sutherland’s team included phosphate in their mix, but rather than adding it to sugars and nucleobases, they started with an array of even simpler molecules that were probably also in Earth’s primordial ooze.
They mixed the molecules in water, heated the solution, then allowed it to evaporate, leaving behind a residue of hybrid, half-sugar, half-nucleobase molecules. To this residue they again added water, heated it, allowed it evaporate, and then irradiated it.
At each stage of the cycle, the resulting molecules were more complex. At the final stage, Sutherland’s team added phosphate. “Remarkably, it transformed into the ribonucleotide!” said Sutherland.
According to Sutherland, these laboratory conditions resembled those of the life-originating “warm little pond” hypothesized by Charles Darwin if the pond “evaporated, got heated, and then it rained and the sun shone.”
Such conditions are plausible, and Szostak imagined the ongoing cycle of evaporation, heating and condensation providing “a kind of organic snow which could accumulate as a reservoir of material ready for the next step in RNA synthesis.”
Intriguingly, the precursor molecules used by Sutherland’s team have been identified in interstellar dust clouds and on meteorites.
“Ribonucleotides are simply an expression of the fundamental principles of organic chemistry,” said Sutherland. “They’re doing it unwittingly. The instructions for them to do it are inherent in the structure of the precursor materials. And if they can self-assemble so easily, perhaps they shouldn’t be viewed as complicated.”
Esta ideia me ocorreu apenas agora, mas me parece que era obvia. O predador não deve ser capaz de matar/eliminar a presa mas mantê-la inerte, recessiva. Com isso a presa não elabora sua proteína ou a faz com defeitos. Tudo isso seria uma projeção microscópica do sentido da existência de um universo em processo de reprodução genética. O bebe final nasce dom defeitos, o que obrigara ao predador uma autocorreção. Os ciclos de alternância entre genes predadores e recessivos lembra a ideia de reencarnação da doutrina espirita.
