Meu Gravatar: Acompanhamento e otimizacao

quarta-feira, maio 30th, 2018

Gravatar (short for globally recognized avatar) is an online service that allows users to have a single avatar which follows and identifies them globally on multiple websites. The service allows users to upload an avatar with a maximum size of 2048 pixels wide (although displayed at a size of 80 by 80 pixels) which is tied to the users e-mail address. When users post a message on blogging or forum sites that support the Gravatar plugin, the user’s registered avatar, their Gravatar, is displayed automatically.

An “avatar” is an image that represents you online—a little picture that appears next to your name when you interact with websites.

A Gravatar is a Globally Recognized Avatar. You upload it and create your profile just once, and then when you participate in any Gravatar-enabled site, your Gravatar image will automatically follow you there.

Gravatar is a free service for site owners, developers, and users. It is automatically included in every account and is run and supported by Automattic.

All URLs on Gravatar are based on the use of the hashed value of an email address. Images and profiles are both accessed via the hash of an email, and it is considered the primary way of identifying an identity within the system.
